Artificial Intelligence (AI), such as Suno and ChatGPT, has the ability to develop new ideas for music productions, assist in composing melodies, and make suggestions about producers, vocalists, and instrumentation.

From a listener’s perspective, elements such as the track description, the music producer, and featured artists are among the most important signals that influence anticipated enjoyment. If the track is of interest, the listener then also chooses how to consume the music (e.g., via streaming platforms, digital download, or physical formats such as vinyl).

This study will investigate how AI-generated music productions, as well as AI-generated producer and artist pairings, affect anticipation of musical enjoyment and likelihood of listening.
